Mailpiece with Brevo

Mailpiece sends every issue through Brevo's SMTP relay with an SMTP key.

With Mailpiece

What you get

  • Issues, test issues, welcome emails and confirmations
  • Each newsletter's own from name, from address and reply-to
  • The app's sign-in mail through the same Brevo account
  • Prefer its API? Send through a relay.

Set up Brevo

Authenticate your sending domain in Brevo. Then, under SMTP & API › SMTP, note the login and generate an SMTP key (an API key will not sign in over SMTP).

Set the outgoing mail

On Settings › Outgoing mail, set up an SMTP server: the Server is smtp-relay.brevo.com, the Port 587, the Username the login on Brevo's SMTP tab and the Password an SMTP key. Port 587 uses STARTTLS; port 465 is TLS from the first byte.

# Or from the CLI
mailpiece settings sending smtp update --address smtp-relay.brevo.com --port 587 \
  --username ... --password ...

# The app's sign-in mail, optional: the same values
SMTP_ADDRESS=smtp-relay.brevo.com
SMTP_USERNAME=...
SMTP_PASSWORD=...

Send a test issue

Set a from address on your authenticated domain in Settings › Sending and send a test issue from any post. If it does not arrive, check Brevo's transactional logs.

Set it up this afternoon

Install Mailpiece on a server, connect Brevo, and send your next issue.
