# Mailpiece with SMTP2GO

*Send your newsletter through SMTP2GO.*

Mailpiece sends every issue through SMTP2GO with an SMTP user.

## What you get

- Issues, test issues, welcome emails and confirmations
- Each newsletter's own from name, from address and reply-to
- The app's sign-in mail through the same SMTP2GO account
- Prefer its API? [Send through a relay](https://mailpiece.dev/docs/relay).

## Set up SMTP2GO

Verify your domain under Sending › Verified Senders, then add a user under Sending › SMTP Users. A wrong username or password answers `535 incorrect authentication data`.

## Set the outgoing mail

On Settings › Outgoing mail, set up an SMTP server: the Server is `mail.smtp2go.com`, the Port `587`, and the Username and Password your SMTP user's. Ports `587` and `2525` use STARTTLS; port `465` is TLS from the first byte. If your host blocks one port, try another.

```sh
# Or from the CLI
mailpiece settings sending smtp update --address mail.smtp2go.com --port 587 \
  --username ... --password ...
# The app's sign-in mail, optional: the same values
SMTP_ADDRESS=mail.smtp2go.com
SMTP_USERNAME=...
SMTP_PASSWORD=...
```

## Send a test issue

Set a from address on your verified domain in Settings › Sending and send a test issue from any post. If it does not arrive, check SMTP2GO's activity report.

## Set it up this afternoon

Install Mailpiece on a server, connect SMTP2GO, and send your next issue. [Install Mailpiece](https://mailpiece.dev/docs/install)
