# Mailpiece with Claude Desktop

*Talk your newsletter into shape in the Claude app.*

Write your newsletter from Claude Desktop: talk the issue through and it lands in Mailpiece as a draft.

## What you get

- Turn these notes into a draft post
- Tighten the draft and give it a better title
- Send me a test
- Schedule it for Friday morning
- How many people subscribed this month?

## Sign in

Build the CLI as the [agents guide](https://mailpiece.dev/docs/agents) shows and make a read and write token under Profile › Personal access tokens, so Claude can draft, test and schedule. The account number is the one in the app's address.

```sh
mailpiece auth login TOKEN --account 834206594 --api-url https://app.example.com
mailpiece doctor
```

## Connect

In Settings › Developer › Edit Config, add `mailpiece` with the full path to the binary. Then quit Claude and open it again.

```sh
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "mailpiece": {
      "command": "/usr/local/bin/mailpiece",
      "args": ["mcp", "--writes"]
    }
  }
}
```

## Ask

"Turn these notes into a draft and schedule it for Friday morning."

Sending to the whole list can't be undone, so read what Claude is about to do before you let it.

## Set it up this afternoon

Install Mailpiece on a server, connect Claude Desktop, and send your next issue. [Install Mailpiece](https://mailpiece.dev/docs/install)
